Aloha Friday

Friday, July 31, 2009

"In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response."

So head over to her site, An Island Life and answer her question but while you are here you might as well answer mine:

What do you do to get yourself out of a rut? It seems lately that I have been working and doing things with my family that all I want to do is have some "ME" time...what do you do for your "ME" time?

My children are grown so all of my time now is really me time. I remember when they were young I could not wait until I could have time to do things that I liked.

That is a good question. I feel like right now I've forgotten what "me" time is all about. We've had company for the past two weeks solid. Usually, after everything is said and done, I will go and lie in bed and read a good book. That is what I do for "me"!

I'm a scrapbooker so I enjoy doing that and reading, lots of reading!

To get myself out of a rut I usually make a list of everything I have to get done. That usually gets me motivated again. I typically try and "plan" some time to get things and even include time for myself. I'd go crazy without it. :)

Oh I hope you find this answer and share it with me :o( I'm sadly in an everlasting funk that I can't get out of. I could use some me time. I miss my fun things like scrapbooking, reading, and jogging.

Wii fit seems to help. Just reading a book or magazine helps too tho :) Good luck!

An hour soak in a Hot bath with a good book and nail kit handy does the trick for me. I lock the door and put out the do not disturb sign. That's My Hour.

When I need me time I either spend it on the computer finding something that will make me laugh, scrapbook, watch tv. I just need quiet time to think about things.

Talk on the phone, take a walk, play hearts, read a book, watch a dvd. I have a whole list of things I can do for me time LOL
