Kaylyn is now 6 and has a very creative imagination. However, just the other day I was thinking to myself that most kids go through the "imaginary friend" stage. Well let me tell you that I spoke too soon!
Last night we were on our way to church and everything was the usual. Talking and asking for McDonalds. I took her to her class and I went to mine. An hour later I picked her up and BOOM, she has an imaginary friend.
Kaylyn: Mom, I would like you to meet Hannah. Say "Hello" to Hannah.
Not realizing what she was talking about I looked around and saw all the other kids that I know and none of them were new or named Hannah. I looked at Kaylyn with a very confused look.
Kaylyn: Mooommm! Say "Hello" to Hannah. She is standing right here and she is going to come home with us tonight.
She leans close to me and whispers in my ear that Hannah is her new friend and nobody can see Hannah but her.
Kaylyn: Hannah, we normally go by McDonalds after church do you want some? Come on Hannah, lets go play.
All the way home she "talked" to Hannah about this and that. In a way it was cute but in another way I am not sure I am going to like this phase. I even had to tell Hannah good night and that I loved her lol!
Does your child have an imaginary friend? Did you?

Aww! Nope, I never did have an imaginary friend. Or if I did, I don't remember. I wonder how Hannah popped out.
Our oldest has one.. actually she's a Princess. And she's a HORSE... a Princess Horse... I cannot even describe how difficult Princess Horsey makes our lives (then again, it's no worse than the damage DD5's 'friend' Willy Wonka does...)
(following you now from friday follow!)
