What I do during the day...

Sunday, December 20, 2009 4
I know that since I have been laid off you wonder what does she do during the day. Well of course the all day occasional cleaning, running errands, watching Days of our Lives & Ellen, volunteering at Kaylyn's school, and other wifely duties. However, for the past 3 weeks I have been babysitting this bundle of joy...

Since I have no family that reads my blog I dont want to post her real name just in case...so we will call her Baby A. Baby A is my cousins little girl. She is exactly 5 months old today. My cousins works full time and about 2 months or so ago her hubby lost his job so they took Baby A out of daycare. The hubby was watching her during the day so they didnt have to pay those overpriced daycare payments. Well a few weeks ago her hubby got called in for an interview and she called me in a panic saying she didnt have anyone to keep Baby A. I told her not to worry I would be happy to. A few days later her hubby got the job and I told her if she was interested I would love to keep Baby A during the day until I find a job. Of course I would never charge her what the daycare is so it would help me out a little in the money area and save her some money at the same time. So like I said for the past 3 weeks I spend all day with this bundle of joy.

Are those Panties?

Yes, Oakley struck again. Kaylyn woke up yesterday morning and found a trail of her panties down the hall.
Apparently he placed them all down the hall and in the living room . He even left a pair on one of my lamps and 3 pairs on our tv.

Of course he had to decorate the tree with them and then he sat up there on the tree until Kaylyn found him.

Oakley has been quite active this week! However, he is taking the weekend off since Kaylyn has been away from home all weekend.

I hope you all had a great weekend!

What are Silly Bands?

Thursday, December 17, 2009 7
Have you heard of Silly Bands? I havent until recently. Apparently it's the newest crave at Kaylyn's school! It seems the teachers are giving them out for good behavior, grades, and good doings! They are stretchy bracelets that are shaped like animals and there are some that are in Christmas shapes like a tree & stocking. You know they remind me of the jelly bracelets we use wear when I was a little girl! Do you remember those? Anyways, I think I am going to get some for Kaylyn to go in her stocking for Christmas.

TP on the Christmas Tree

Monday, December 14, 2009 4
As I mentioned in my Not Me Monday post this morning I had to stay up late to put TP on my Christmas Tree. Why you ask? Well Santa sent his Magic Elf to watch over Kaylyn this year and to report back to him and let him know how Kaylyn has been acting. Our Elf is very mischievous and into trouble. Well it seems that Oakley (our Magic Elf) wanted to roll our Christmas Tree with toilet paper. I agreed to help him (wink, wink) so there wouldn't be that much of a mess. So we threw a few strands of toilet paper on the tree and then I made a little seat for Oakley and propped him up there for Kaylyn to find him.

So I grabbed this picture and then took all the TP down this afternoon. Sorry Oakley wasnt up there because Kaylyn snuck him to school.

Sorry about the Miami flag in the back ground...Kevin will NOT take it down.

Rudolph Got Ran Over By My Mama!

Friday, December 4, 2009 7
Yes, my mother ran over a deer...its pretty catchy if you sing it to the tune of "Grandma Got Ran Over by a Reindeer." Come on you know you want to sing it! I am ! Anyway, last night on her way home right around 5 she was going about 65 (in a 45) and out hops this deer. She hit it in mid gallop. It happened so fast that she didnt even have time to react. So she hit it. It has completely messed up her car. I am surprised she was able to drive it home, but she did. Her front end is messed up including the headlights as well as the driver front fender. Since her fender is messed up it wont allow the driver door to open so she had to crawl out of the passenger side lol! However, I am very, very thankful that she is ok. She was a little shaken up about it especially since it happened so fast. I pointed out that she was very lucky that the deer didnt roll up on top of her hood and come through the windshield...especially since it weighed 200lbs!

How do I know it weighed 200lbs you ask? Well when my dad and brother got home from work and found out she was ok they went to look for the deer. Yes, they did! They found it too! So they brought it home and took some pics of it for the insurance company as well as the car. Then they took the deer to the meat processor and had it weighed. 200lbs on the dot. Then they paid to have the meat processed or whatever it is they do and donated all of the meat to our local Soup Kitchen. I thought that was kind of nice of them. Below are some pics that we took...

The deer WAS a 10pt deer...however, she knocked one side of his horns off.

She broke his hind legs.

Frontend completely smashed up...including the headlights.

Still a little bit of deer fur in the hood.

This angle shows how much the hood bowed up.

This was an experience for her but like I said I am so thankful that it wasnt worse.

Cute Christmas Outfit

Thursday, December 3, 2009 2
Ever since Kaylyn was a baby we had a couple of friends who would always give us girl clothes. They daughter is a year to 2 years older than Kaylyn. So the season coincided too. Which was great. We have been fortunate enough to never have HAD to buy clothes for Kaylyn. Now we have but we have always had an ample amount of things give to us. It in itself has been a huge blessing. So I went to church the other day and my friend Cindy told me she had another bag of clothes for me. I always get so excited because they always give us the cutest clothes.

In the bag I found several pairs of jeans, Christmas shirts, regular shirts and some pairs of shorts. In there I found this shirt that I just thought was the cutest. It's a white silky shirt with a Christmas red vest like sweater and a sparkly, silver belt around the waist. I just loved it...so much that I had to take some pictures of her yesterday morning before I sent her to school.
